Florida State University’s ITS RISE Together Showcase Set to Inspire Innovation
FSU readies its second ITS RISE Together Showcase. This half-day event builds bonds in tech and new ideas. It occurs on Tuesday, April 8. The Florida State Conference Center hosts the event. You can find it at 555 W. Pensacola Street.
FSU members meet to talk about tech and higher education change. They share plans in tech and new projects. They hear from field leaders. They join live talks. They view projects that shape FSU’s tech future.
Jonathan Fozard leads this change. He is FSU’s associate vice president and chief information officer. He says FSU leads higher education tech change. His words are clear. He feels that work here makes global news. He sees no better way than a peer-led meeting of minds.
The event starts at 1 p.m. It holds three session blocks with five talks. Each talk lasts 50 minutes. One session gives a hands-on view of generative AI. Sathish Sundaramoorthy leads that session. Another session checks effective talk skills in the later part. Alexa Lowry guides this discussion.
Attendees meet for a poster display. They see work by ITS student interns. They also share a break during mid-afternoon. The event stops at 4:30 p.m. This pause gives time to share ideas.
Fozard says each person joins a bigger team. He means that ideas grow when people join. His words show that the work of many can reach new heights when people bond.
The ITS RISE Together Showcase welcomes all FSU members. Its access is free, but signing up is wise to hold a spot. More details lie on the ITS website at its.fsu.edu/rise-together-showcase.
